Paul Williams
Candidate for Mayor of Waimakariri
Hello, I’m Paul Williams, and I am proud to announce my candidacy for Mayor of Waimakariri in the upcoming elections. With over 50 years of experience in the business world, I have successfully owned and managed multiple businesses, gaining a wealth of knowledge that spans various sectors.
My mission is to create a future in Waimakariri where families can thrive without the weight of overwhelming expenses. I am dedicated to enhancing the quality of life in our region, and I promise to be approachable and transparent in my decision-making

Standing together for Waimakariri- A council that works for you
We love Waimakariri. It’s our home, our community, and where we’ve built our families, friendships, and livelihoods. The Standing Together for Waimakariri team is standing in this election because we believe our council should reflect the values and priorities of the people who live here – everyday people like you.
We’re not politicians. We’re locals who run businesses, work hard, and care about the future of our district. The Standing Together for Waimakariri team has seen too much-wasted spending, too many decisions made without real consultation, and a lack of focus on what actually matters to our communities. We want to change that.

Our Agreed Vision is
To create a Council that carries the respect of its communities through making sensible decisions designed to make the district a preferred and affordable place to live, work and play.
