Gordon Malcolm - Candidate for the Oxford Ward

Family is first and foremost in my life. My wife Sally and I raised three daughters in the Waimakariri District and are proud that they are now contributing to the wider community.


Business is my strong point. I am a Registered Industrial Electrician and HVAC (heating, ventilation and air conditioning) Specialist and I have many years of hands-on business experience including providing the HVAC and mechanical engineering for New Zealand’s Supreme House Winner.

With a fresh team of Councillors, our immediate priority will be curtailing wasteful spending and reducing the current mounting burden of council debt which will overwhelm future generations and is completely unacceptable for the ratepayers of Waimakariri.

I am dedicated to bringing a strong, back to basics, practical and commonsense approach for our community. Your vote for me will open the doors to much-needed change and allow us to see tangible results and benefits for the people of the Waimakariri District.
